 Adoption

From Our Laps to Yours!

MAAS adopts out kittens and adult cats.  Our adoptable cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites, tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV and microchipped.  They receive veterinary care for any medical conditions.  Our cats are 'lap fostered' in our homes, never a shelter building.

 Trap-Neuter-Return for Stray/Feral Cats

Trap-Neuter-Return programs are the only proven way to humanely decrease the population of outdoor cats.  MAAS will trap the cats using humane traps.  The cats are taken to a vet where they will be spayed or neutered and vaccinated.  The vet will also 'ear tip' the cats, the universal symbol for a sterilized feral cat.  The cats are returned to their home territory, where they are fed and have appropriate outdoor shelters. Friendly strays and tameable kittens are taken in to MAAS foster homes on a space available basis.

Rehoming - Citizen Foster

MAAS provides a Citizen Foster program for Marlborough/Hudson area residents needing to rehome their cat.  The cat continues to reside with the current owner, while MAAS posts their pet on the web site for greater visibility.  On a space limited basis we take in owned cats looking for a new home.

Barn Cats/Rodent Control

Barn cats are a natural way to control rodents in barns, yards, and businessesThey become 'Guardian Spirits', keeping watch over your property, keeping it free from the ravages of rodents, and adding ambience to the area.  MAAS will provide barn cats and the equipment to acclimate the new guardians, and instruction on how to keep them.

Community Education Programs - Feline Amassadors

MAAS is committed to educating our communities, creating citizenship awareness of homeless cat issues, the importance of spay/neuter, general cat care, and the bond between cats and people.  We will come to scout meeting, schools, businesses, and community events.  These programs can be easily tailored to the sponsoring group.
