Fostering Felines

MAAS wants all of the cats taken in to be loved and cuddled in our laps, as they wait to go to the laps of their forever homes.

Why do we do this?  We take homeless cats into our homes, care for them, love them, and then give them up. The answer is simple...they need our help! Yes...we do find ourselves becoming emotionally attached...but we know that we are simply there to help. There is nothing more rewarding than placing a beloved foster cat into a new and loving home.   malia

The time committment is minimal - providing a lap in the evenings is often just what is needed!  The cats benefit from our diverse foster homes - full time single professionals, retirees, home schooled families, and everything in between.  A foster home can choose to foster once, or many times, and vacations are easily accomodated.  Fostering usually lasts 3-6 weeks for older kittens, 2 months for moms with kits, and 1-3 months for adult cats.

What does a foster home need?

-A room where the new kitties can remain separated from current pets

-Location in the Marlborough/Hudson area

-When possible, food, litter and equipment for their foster kitties (We receive generous donations of food, and supply our fosters whenever this is avaliable)

-Transportation to Meow Mixers, or to local volunteers for transport.

Please write to us for a foster application, or with any questions about fostering!
